KickStart to Career Deposit Day & Family Night
The second Deposit Day of the 2021/2022 school year held this spring was a huge success! The Community Foundation KickStart to Career program now has bank accounts for over 900 Mason County kindergarten, first, and second-graders. Thanks to our partners at West Shore Bank and Safe Harbor Credit Union for assisting youth in saving over $80,950 in the first three years of the program! We are so appreciative of the donors, class sponsors, educators, and match pool participants that encourage our children to save money toward their education and future career. Youth around the county also participated in the first ever Kickstart to Career Family night at West Shore Community College. Students and their families had the opportunity to visit the campus and learn about financial planning while engaging in fun games. Special thanks to a generous grant from the Consumers Energy Foundation for making this day possible.
