Community Foundation Competitive Grants

The Community Foundation offers two competitive grant rounds each year that are open to 501(c)(3) organizations, churches, schools, agencies, and governmental units serving the greater Mason County area.

In 2021, the Community Foundation began a strategic planning process to guide where we could have the greatest impact with our investments in grant dollars, community engagement, and advocacy. The process involved surveying our stakeholders, community leaders, nonprofit organizations, donors, trustees, Youth Advisory Council, volunteers, and staff to determine the areas of focus. The Foundation launched a new plan based on this feedback in 2022, and in 2025, the Board reaffirmed that vision through a strategic update.

Be sure to review our grant priorities and guidelines.
